PCanywhere/Net Meeting over the Internet

Are there limitations on the use of PCAnywhere and Net meeting when used over the Internet? We need to support our customers but, although we can see their desktop, we cannot do anything, open windows, activate applications, etc. All these things are available on LAN but not on Internet. Can somebody comment on that and provide some support.
