PCI Graphics cards

Hi,

A friends machine has no AGP slot, and rather than him shell out for a new board or system I’m wondering if it’s worth looking at a PCI graphics card. Can anyone give me any advice as to how good these are, IE are they worth looking at in the first place? – any personal experience tales would be great. Also, is there one that you would particularly recommend? Thanks….
