PCI.sys Blue screen Error

Here is the run down. I am working on a laptop (dell vostro 1500), whos hard drive went bad. When i replace the hard drive and try to install windows XP Home i get a blue screen error. (psi.sys) I have read that this could be caused by XP not supporting SATA harddrives all that well. (When i put in XP PRO it works fine, but only have liscense for home.)Tonight i am going to try slipstreaming SP3 with Xp home, installing the Sata and bios driver. Is there anything else that i should try before i order the recovery cds from dell (since owner can’t find them)?
