PCMCIA or CF to PCI adapter

I’m looking for an adapter that will enable me to transfer data on an IBM 1 GB MicroDrive that I will use in my notebook with a passive PCMCIA adapter and also as a standalone in my digital camera. I want to plug the IBM MicroDrive into an adapter that resides in a PCI slot on my desktop, iether directly, or using the passive PCMCIAadapter that I already have for my notebook. Any advice on the best choice for a PCMCIA or CF to PCI adapter? I want to be able to hot swap CF or PCMCIA cards.
