Peer to peer connection in DOS

is there a way to connect to a peer to peer network in a DOS mode? i would like to connect to a network on a specific computer that has a p2p connection and be able to acces a shared directory using a bootable disk with network support. all of thecomputers in a peer-to-peer network are using windows 98 second edition, i have already tried norton ghost 2003 but it would only connect if u have a domain controller server. does anyone knows how to solve this.ur help is highly appreciated…thanks
