Windows 2000 server.
There is a data folder out on the server that the Shared permission is
Everyone with Full Control. The Security for that folder has:
Administrator, domain admins and everyone that have full control – there
are other users that have rights but not full control. this is not where i
am having an issue.
The issue is in the directories underneath the top folder.
The folders underneath the top folder are not set to shared so there are no
shared permissions. when i go into the security tab of a folder under the
top folder i get a message that says i have “permission to view the current
security information on…..”. ok .
when i look at the permissions there are only two groups in there and
neither one of them are the domain admin or administrator–one group has all
but full control for allow and the other has Read/List/execute.
i can not add or remove users, the options is grayed out.
I go into advance and i can view only the Permission entities .. can not add
or delete.
is there a way i go and add the domain admin and adminstrato to the list for
all those directories? or am I out of luck here.
