Ping inside/outside but cannot browse

by holland.kyle . Updated 20 years, 2 months ago

I have a business network running an ActionTec DSL modem with router capability and a hub. The router is connected to a Windows Server 2003 with DCHP and DNS. The router is also connected to several computers. The hub is connected to the router and several printers and computers. All terminals are configured for DCHP. The computers connected to the router can ping inside/out and brose Inside/out of the local network. The computers connected to the hun can ping inside/out but not browse inside/out of the local network. Yesterday, I switched the Windows Server from the hub to the router (moved it
‘s physical location). Before the move, everyhthing worked fine. After the move, now that the Server is connected to the router, the terminals on the hub are having the described problem. Mindful that everything was function normally before the physical move, has anyone heard of this problem or might have an idea as to what happened? All terminals are running either 2000 or xp, each is set up for DCHP and only ther server is prodicing DCHP/DNS. The DCHP and DNS appear to be working (ie can ping outside) but no browsing.
