PIX 501 VPN Wizard won’t save configuration to PIX

I have been trying to set up a site to site VPN using the VPN Wizard in the PDM program in the PIX 501. All goes well until the final “Finish” tab. Then I get a series of error messages. After that anything I do results in an “unable to communicate with the PIX”. It’s like it timed out. I have to restart the PDM and the browser again to reestablish communication. Thus I lose all my VPN setup info because it didn’t get written to the PIX. Help!
