PMP certification as a qualifier

The author’s argument could be extended to any professional certification in order to be considered for certain positions; PMP, CPA, CFP, PE, CCNA, CNE, MSCE, etc., even a baccalaureate degree. But regardless of the qualifying object, the logic he employs is equally faulty.
