Thinking about your DirectX problem, I have been looking over my XP system that has a GeForce 2 MX200 32MB card installed.
ASUS A7V
Athlon 950 MHz
768MB PC 133 SDRAM
It passes all DirectX diagnostics tests.
Do you have driver file 28.32_winxp and 28.32_win9x downloaded from Nvidia’s driver page and installed?
Looking at the driver file details from device manager, I see the following:
NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro
64 DLL and EXE files all revision 6.13.10.2832
58 HLP files with no revision listed.
I have a Windows 98 system with an AMD K6-3/400 with a Nvidia Vanta 8.
This system froze on the Direct 3D test utill I updated it to the 28.32 driver. (forgot to check what revision the old driver was)
If you want, I could send you the DirectX diagnostic test file for both systems. Perhaps, you can track down a missing or wrong revision file.
