I’ve built a new machine with an MSI K7t266 Pro2 Motherboard, Athlon XP 1900+ with Cooler Master HS and 2 Crucial 256MB DDR mem modules. All other items are from a previous system that had an 800MHz Athlon (slot A). The problem is that the system runs fine at work were I assembled the system, but has problems at my home. The motherboard has LED’s that indicate it stops at the “testing base and extended memory” part of the POST. I get no video either. The PS is only 4 months old from Antec and is rated at 400W. I’ve hooked the system to two different 500VA UPS’s at home and even straight into different wall outlets. All BIOS and drivers are at the most current levels. I’ve even removed all cards but the video (GeForce2 GTS) and tried a low end PCI video card with no difference.
Any help would be appreciated.
