Preferences

I’m have trouble with the display of responses here, have asked support what’s up and been told it’s working as expected. This is not making sense to me, so I thought I’d ask if others have the same issue.

I have set my preferences to display 100 responses and to show them expanded. However, when I go to an item it shows only three responses and they are collapsed. I know I can hit the “show all” button and they will show, and this is the response I’m getting to my query. The response doesn’t mention preferences either.

Am I missing something?
