My primary job at the company I work for is to turnup new routers (Juniper and Cisco). I don?t work at all in subnetting, routing, or security settings. I only work with activating and testing the equipment itself. In the transport layer, my experience is with ATM. Only now, we?re switching to IP based platform.
As far as preparing for the CCNA, I would like to know if diving into a really good CCNA prep book, such as the ?Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide Deluxe? (with lab simulation software, etc?) along with good practice tests would be enough to prepare for the CCNA certification exam. I was recently taking classes online through the Cisco Network Academy and using a lab simulation called Packet Tracer (very robust application) and now I?m thinking about studying entirely on my own by using self-study materials. What do you suggest?
