This is a re-post for some reason I cant get back to my question.
I have a department that keeps on moving different department folders located on a server, into other department folders. Then when they need to access the folder they can’t findit. I have to search the department folder, find the folder and move it back to where it was.
How can I prevent users in the department from moving folders, but allow them to create, modify, delete their files?
The folder structure is like this:
|Accounting
|Plan
|Actual
|2000 Sales
Now somebody would come along and move the Actual folder under the Plan folder. Now it looks like the Actual folder mysterously dissappeared.
I want to stop them from moving the first level of folders. But be able to do get into the folders and do what they have to do.
I have a Novell 4.11 server, I’m the admin using NDSMGR32 or console1. Which rights would I change and to what? NDS and/or file system.
Thanks.
