print server problems

My company has about 8 printers, all are HP printers (p2014 etc). Also we have a win 2003 server serving ad a print server. However since few days all printers in print server disappeared and we are unable to ping them. In fact the print server role seem to have been completely wiped out.Trying to add the role again fails due to spooler service not started. On starting spooler it will start but will fail again as soon as print server role is trying to add.
Also data execution prevention closes spooler subsystem app. I don’t know why or how.
Pls somebody help get this print server on line
