Printer Inpact Ink

I’ve been told by a business that used to re-ink ribbons, that the ink used, has to contain a lubricant for the pins in printhead. I want to re-ink, with different colour (ie, from BLACK to BLUE).

There are meany printers, and associated busineses near my location, but I don’t know what to ask for. I thought of ball pen ink, as the ball requires lubrication, and ink has a similar sticky feel.

Recomendations please.
