printer port problem!!!!

my printer’s ok but i guess there’s something wrong with the port.there are no IRQ conflicts,the settings are properly cofigured and cables properly attached,no problem with the driver either.what’s buggin me is when i start to print,my pc can’t seem to detect it.maybe it’s a connection problem with my port.help me out.
