Printer problems after using generic ink

I have a Canon I860 photo printer. For months, I had no problem with the printer. After trying a generic cyan ink cartridge, I found my photos to all be printing with a blue tint. I replaced the generic ink with the usual Canon ink, but the problem has persisted. I tried running the cleaning process as well. Has anyone seen this before or know of a solution?
