Printer roller replacement

I have a HP L/J 5MP and I want to replace the paper pick-up roller. If you pull out the paper tray you can see it. It’s proving tricky to remove. Have done similiar work on other HP printers. I rang HP but they would not advise me.
Can anyone shed any light on the subject or direct me to a suitable web site.
