printer settings

I am running a program that can scan insurance cards. When I am viewing the card the brightness looks ok and I can print it and view everything on the card. However, if other people print the card the print may be the same, but sometimes they are almost too dark to read (even if the view on the PC is fine) — My questions is “Is there a way to change the darkness/brightness setting in the printer properties (HPLJ6p and HPLJ2100)? Thanks!
