Printing and SPOOLSS.EXE

When I have a number of large print jobs in a print queue my NT server, the disk space on my system partition drops very low. My first question; where (what physical file) do spooled print jobs go? Second, is it possible to move the file/files to a different location (one with more free space) on the same drive (different partition) or to a different drive? My third question what exactly does SPOOLSS.EXE do? When jobs are printing, this process uses a lot of CPU time and I would like it to use less, can I force SPOOLSS to use less CPU time without adding more hardware?
