Printing from Vista via XP print server

My wife recntly bougt an Acer Laptop with Vista Home Basic installed. I have tried to configure it for wireless network printing via my wireless router and an XP Workstation. I can find my XP machine and the associated HP G55 printer, and Vista apparantly installs a driver when I do the setup, but it does not print! File sharing is running perfectly between the two machines. I am using a utility called Network Magic. I am a newcomer to Vista, perhaps I am missing something obvious. Any help is appreciated.
