printing problem?

I have a home network(cable modem/router) of 2 PCs(Win 98 &2000) and a laptop(Win Me), with a HP Deskjet 720c connected to the Pc with Win 98.The printing is OK with the 2 Pcs, however with the Laptop, the installation can not be completed, the testmessage gets deleted on the path to the printer, although the properties of the printer on the laptop appears OK.If the printer is hooked directly to the laptop the printing is OK
