Hello
I have a question that I know has a simple answer but I cannot figure it out. I am trying to print from a WIN98 & 2000 client running terminal service 2000 client. The network printer does not show even though I have it installed on the Terminal service server.
The setup:
SBS 2000 running terminal services
terminal service licensing is activated
SP2
WIN 98SE & WIN 2K Pro SP2 clients
I think this may be a problem.
I am running the SBS2000 for testing purposes for one of our clients. The 2000 server is on our SBS4.5 network in a different domain. Since the client is logged on to SBS4.5 and only connecting to SBS2000 using terminal, would this cause a problem?
The printer is connected to a Linksys Print server. The printer is setup on the SBS2000 by network share from the SBS4.5.
I have tried mapping the printer on the client side. I read a document found on here about installing the printer locally and connecting it to a TSxxx port. This port option never comes up. I have tried finding the port using printer set up on the client, the server and from running terminal services. I have tried using the “net use lpt…” command.
