Problem with MS Office 2000

I have a clients machine with windows 2000 installed (thunderbird 800 kt7 mb TNT riva 64 video and s3, twin monitors)
Clean install, of windows and office, new hard drive, Nvrida drivers updated and via chipset drivers installed.
Problem is all office programs will run for only a few seconds then disappear with out any error message or warning.
Can anyone help me out.
