Problem with terminal server

I am runnin a win2k server, from my LAN I can connect with no problems, from the internet I can connect but i get a “MSTSC.EXE has generated errors and will be closed by windows” error I think my problem may be with my internet connection or router. Any suggestions are wellcomed.
