Problem with Virus

Dear Sir,
I am a new member.i have problem to harm from virus. i want to open hidden file and then i click OK button.but after i open folder open again. i saw the check box for hidden file is checked.why i can’t open hidden files.how to open it.i think it is from virus.but i don’t know how to clean it.i use OS WIndow XP.if you have the solution please send mail to me channara_rin@yahoo.co.uk.
