is it safe to delete the info. listed in the hosts file? what is the use of this file?

secondly, whenever i start my pc i get a rundll error “lhnvbbbw.dll The specified module could not be found”. I tried to recover the file through recovery console but the file doesn’t exist in cd. i don’t how to recover it. I also tried system restore but useless.

I know thats to many questions but ur suggestions r valuable to me.
