problems with Linksys wifi and 8 port

I am having problems connected a combo 4 port / Wifi LinkSys hub to an 8 port linksys hub. The 8 port feeds 8 home-run network connections, and I am trying to just connect the combo 4 port hub to the wall jack that is fed from one of those 8 connections. Intermittently, the addressing seems to get lost, and the wireless hub loses connection. I have verified that the wireless combo hub does work if it is wired directly to the cable modem feeding my home office, but I am wondering how to configure the LinkSys wireless hub to work together with the 8 port hub and have both wireless and hard wired connections throughout my home office.
