Problems with my drives

by unusualkiss3437 . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

I recently printed the article “How to successfully degunk your PC from
crapware” and installed the CCleaner and so on, which did improve my
computer at home considerably. BUT, I have a new problem now and I am
not sure how to fix it. Under the tools options, it instructed me to
remove unused files/folders so increase speed. Now, both of my disc
drives have the exclammation point under the device screen telling me
they have been disabled. When I troubleshoot, it tells me something
about a code 32. Can someone out there tell me which folder/file I need
to go back in and enable so these will work. I thought at first that
maybe my cd burner was messed up, but then I remembered that I recently
did this cleanup, and it hasn’t worked since. I did try installing a
new burner, and the computer recognizes it, but still says it is
disabled. I tried uninstalling and restaring my computer, but get the
same message.
