problems with new motherboard

since i had a new motherboard installed i have the following problems – no sound (errror message says multimedia controller not installed/cannot find audio device but in control panel all aspects of sound seem to be working) also one of my users cant access all systems on his MS XP home desktop,also some of my word files are now in something called proplus msi and i cant open them, also (nearly done!) kids cannot install their sims games 🙁 🙁 if anyone can advise id be very grateful
