Proper fiber connection

by tony.griscavage . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

I have a very sloopy fitting SC connection to a piece of hardware manufactured by CNT corporation. By this I mean when you put the SC connector into the interface port you first plug in the SC connector and then you have to pull it half way out to make the link light appear. I have spoken with the vendor numerous times stating that I can vouch for the fiber however I beleive that the interface card is bad. To date I have plugged in 16 different SC connectors in this port and thay all behave the same way.
Has anybody else ever experienced this before. When the vendor looks at the line he sees CRC erros depeding on the amount of data being transmitted.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations
