I am running server 2003 and have published 10 networked printers to Active Directory using the “List in Directory” but on each printer’s sharing tab. The printers DO appear when you search for a printer using the Add Printer wizard, but they do NOT appear anywhere in the AD Users & Computers console.
Also, if I try to manually add the printers to any of the OUs in AD (even using the syntax \\servername\sharename), it says it’s unable to add the printer and to use the Printers folder.
Any idea what gives? I’d “like” the printers to appear in AD…
