Hello, Recently a project was thrown at me that I dont know too much about only reading PDF’s on the internet. We want to enable Qos on our network since we are going Voip very soon with Cisco 7900 phones and Call Manager. What we have as a scenerio is a Cisco 7942 phone with a workstation attached to it. The link goes into a closet on the floor where a Dell POE 3448 switch that can tag packets with a DSCP value. From there is a copper link to our Cisco 6513 backbone switch and out to another dell 3448 switch on another floor to another 7942 phone. How can I acomplish this? It is all one vlan no trunking. Since it appears as a layer 2 level do I not have to setup a QoS policy on the 6513? Just trust DSCP? I seem to be getting lost on all the different configurations I have read. Someone please help!
