Questions about Cisco Routers (L3)

Doing research on Routers specifically Cisco Routers L3, can anyone shed any light regarding them, likes and dislikes also as you are paying for the Cisco name are there any other routers other then Dlink, Netgear,Sonicwall, 3Com, Netcode and of course Linksys (as they are now a division of Cisco).
