Questions on A+ (220-1001/1002) IT Exam

has anyone ever taken the A+ (220-1001/1002) IT exam? i’m no regular here, but do fraud often and computers are really interesting to me. but, since I come from a conservative household, trapping won’t keep me afloat and I probably need a 9-5; this exam seems as a good a place as any to start.

if you’ve taken it, how was it? did you actually buy their study materials or are there free resources out there?
