Ok, here is the question I have. I have wireless internet at my house. The hub is in a back room far from my room. I have a laptop with wireless capabilities, but I need my desk top to have internet, and I dont want to have a cord ran acroos my house :). I know you can plug an internet connection into your laptop top and give out wireless internet to other comps that have wireless capabilities, but can it go the other way? Can I receive wireless internet to my laptop then plug in a Ethernet cable from my laptop to my desktop to give my desktop internet? Basically use my laptop as kind of a modem so to say 🙂 If so, how would I go about doing that? I can’t seem to figure it out 🙁 I tried the Internet sharing wizard and both comps are connected together through the network and the internet sharing option is checked, But I think the problem is the laptop is receiving the wireless internet but its not sending out the internet through the Ethernet port.
