what is the best and quickest way to fix this ‘blue screen of death’ error message?
I tried booting from the Compaq Recovery CD and receive a CD Error Message…Contact Compaq Tech Support…
I am sick…frustrated…and overwhelmed with all the issues I am having this year…I just don’t know what to do anymore!!!!
anyway, the computer i am working on is a Compaq 5310US – 5000 Series…it was running Microsoft XP Home Edition…and has been giving me problems for about a year now…it started by just shutting down unexpectantly…then this last time it just won’t come back on…it starts to reboot…reaches a certain point…and just re-starts itself…continuously!….
If I press F8 while it is restarting the only option I can get to work is the “Disable automatic restart on system failure” option at which point it goes to the ‘Blue Screen of Death’ with the UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME error message.
And as I said above, the recovery CD also gives me a ‘Compaq Recovery CD Error – Contact Compaq Technical Support’ message.
Any help would certainly be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
