RAID IDE?

Being a volunteer on a school network, My input isn’t very pressing. There is someone on a committee that insists RAID IDE(???) should be implemented on the Servers rather than RAID5 SCSI. I, myself, have never heard id RAID5 IDE, plus, IDE is notmade for network servers from what I do know. Could anyone tell me if they’ve heard of it? And could someone fill me in as best and specifically as they possibly can on the differences between SCSI and IDE?
