RAS Remote Access Sharing

RAS Remote Access Sharing
I have a Windows 2k Small Business Server at work i want to configure for home use for a network user.
I know i can use PC Anywhere etc but I believe i can do so by using RAS which will save me money on SW.
It is awindows 2000 client PC that will be used from home to access the network server and it’s resources. Can anyone help me to configure this, whilst maintaining Network Security.
First of all what HW would i need, Modem on server etc.
Which Software, protocols, Bindings etc.

Additional Info
We have a Win2k SBS installation with two network cards on the server one for the server and one for the router.
