RDP through VPN not working over Wi-Fi

I have a company provided laptop that I am not able to RDP into one of the servers at my office. This is over a VPN connection. I am using a Lynksys router at home and I want to connect over Wi-fi. If I connect the laptop to the router directly I am able to connect to the server however over Wi-Fi I cannot. I have already optimized the MTU settings on the wireless NIC and VPN. Windows firewall is off. Upgraded firmware on router and restored router to factory defaults, still cannot connect.
