Re-entering IT

Do you think it is easy getting a good IT job without certification?

I’ve been out of IT field for about 4 years but previously to that, I had 15 years experience doing break fix and mostly PC/LAN help desk work..

What advice would you give for someone like me who wants to get in to the field again but has no certificates(back then you did’nt really need them to get a job; and most of the job was hands on)?
