read only attribute cannot be removed from a file server shares

i migrated my file server to a new server as the old was running out of space

I used the Windows migration toolkit and got a successful copy with permissions

however, the file server has the read only attribute highlighted and users cannot change their files as they open as read only

i have tried giving the users admin access to see if this will allow for use of their files but no luck

Could someone help?
