Hi all. I have just somewhat successfully re-built our Exchange server with a new domain and a new DC name.
The server is running Exchange Server 2003 (SP2) on Windows 2003 Server (SP2).
I have inbound and outbound e-mail working between our organization and the outside world. However, mail between users within our organization only works if the message is addressed to {user}@{ourdomain}.info where {ourdomain}.info is our local domain name.
However, all users e-mail addresses should be {user}@{ourdomain}.COM. I did add the SMTP address {user}@{ourdomain}.COM to each user’s e-mail address list in Active Directory. I also added @{Ourdmain}.COM to the default recipient policy in Exchange Sys. Mgr.
Do i need to wipe out Outlook’s cache files on each machine? and how?
but when we try to e-mail within the organization to a user’s we get the following error:
” The message could not be delivered because the recipient’s destination email system is unknown or invalid. Please check the address and try again, or contact your system administrator to verify connectivity to the email system of the recipient.”
Hopefully, I am just missing something stupid – Can anyone help?
