Reclaiming hard drive space

by ed.k . Updated 18 years, 5 months ago

I run Windows 2003 R2 server, and desperately need to find some more HD space on C:\ I am not a geek – just someone trying to do my best in a small company!! Don’t ask why I am in this state! I’ll only weep!!

I have already moved the swap file, and relocated the IIS log files, I regularly clean out temp files / folders but I want to do a bit more cleaning up.

I would be grateful if some one could please comment on these ideas:

1. Can I delete any / some of the *.log files in c:\windows

2. Can I delete or better still limit the number of the $NtUninstallKBnnnn$ folders

3. We have shadow copy running. Any point in tinkering with that?

4. Any other bright ideas for me to look at

Thank you for your help

Ed
