recommendation of digital camera wanted

I have not bought this product yet, and am very interested in knowing if any one uses this camera for macro shots. I need a digital camera that will take excellent close-up product shots of items the size of a roll of 35mm film for posting on the web. If this camera fits the bill, please let me know.
