Recovering a file

I accidentally saved a Word file with the same name as another document I need–urgently. I was working on my thesis and I accidentally saved my notes with the same name as the file where I had all my actual work, which I had just finished. I gotta turn this in very soon, so I don’t have to start all over again. What can I do?
