Recovering files after reformat…

Just finished fixing a customers Dell computer on Friday. He had some files that he had wanted backed up but did not mention that he wanted 10 Gig saved.

I installed a new drive then went to work redoing the O/S. He had multiple viruses and the wrong virus scanner on his system and it was not updated. Needless to say I ended up deleting the partitions on the drives to recover as much room as possible and then NTFS regular format of both drives. After this was done I installed XP pro and the proper virus scanner for the version of Windows.

I find out later that the customer had a number of files he did not mark for backup but wants restored (all picture files). Any idea’s how to go about it?
