Red Hat Version 6.2

I have installed red hat version 6.2 on my notebook. I am using d-link dfe650 pcmcia card. I have installed the kernel from the red hat cd rom. I have tar the pcmcia-cs-3.3.15.tar.gz to the /usr/src. Using ./Configure to configure the script. It said sucessfully after answering a few questions. I then used make all. An error message ‘bash : make : command not found’. Is there anything is not installed ?

Is there a command to test the card bus service and the pcmcia card ?
