Redhat 6.1 problem starting with kde

I installed Redhat 6.1 and when I start it up…it works up till the kde gui startup where it gives an error:
id “x” responding too fast – trying again in 5 minutes…something like that…then it just keeps trying over and over again. Any ideas?
